We do not know the year of birth or death of the miniaturist Cristoforo Majorana, originally from Naples. It is assumed that he was trained and spent a long time (around 1465-80) in Cola Rapicano's workshop. His most works include the illuminated manuscripts of Thucydides, De bello Peloponnesiaco and the so-called Breviary of Ferrante of Aragon from around 1480.
