This article is focused on the Italian translation of a poetry collection by Kurdish-Syrian poet Golan Haji. Most of the poems were written after the uprising the started in Syria on March 15, 2011, within the "Arab Spring" , and soon degenerated in civil war. The study analyses the language and style of the texts and it explains the macro-strategy adopted to translate them.
