This chapter analyses the issue of emigration and return from a gender perspective, therefore, it is focused on the exploration of the migratory career in a group of highly educated Spanish women in the framework of return. In this paper we define the phenomena from a critical approach, focused on the analysis of power and oppression relations in the human mobility, with the main aim to uncover existing dilemma between public policies, copying strategies and the structure of opportunities and constrains related to the interviewee’s reintegration process. This paper focuses on the situation of women and families in return context and provides key examples of some of the dilemmas faced by women. The discourses are based on contradictory elements between the macro, meso and micro-analytical level of the returnee women’s biographies, as public policies, inter-personal and family dimension; socio-professional aspirations are conflicting values, results of result of limited socio-political measures. Finally, we try to disengage concerns with the main aim to suggest some guidelines for future researches and studies in this field of knowledge.
