Philosophy finds its most complete exposition in syllogistic form. The concept manifests in this triadic way its procedural character. In syllogism the central and founding role is constituted by the middle term: nature in the first syllogism, spirit in the second and “reason that knows itself” in the third. Only in the latter reflexive form the totality is exposed from its ground, that is, from the absolute spirit. However, He-gel never wanted to expose his philosophical system starting from that ultimate ground, because his method is that of the determined negation, that moves from the finite and the abstract, in order to reach the absolute only at the end.

Abstract
Philosophy finds its most complete exposition in syllogistic form. The concept manifests in this triadic way its procedural character. In syllogism the central and founding role is constituted by the middle term: nature in the first syllogism, spirit in the second and “reason that knows itself” in the third. Only in the latter reflexive form the totality is exposed from its ground, that is, from the absolute spirit. However, He-gel never wanted to expose his philosophical system starting from that ultimate ground, because his method is that of the determined negation, that moves from the finite and the abstract, in order to reach the absolute only at the end.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
