Billedkunstens økonomiske rum: Danske billedkunstneres økonomiske arbejds- og levevilkår

What are the economic and social conditions for the visual arts and visual artists in Denmark? It is a recurring question in the debate about the conditions of art. With this study we want to contribute with a current empirical basis. Two publications from the project have been published. While this publication deals with the visual artists' economic and social living conditions, the second publication deals with the financial conditions of the visual arts by looking at the total size of the market. The study is financed by the Danish Art Fund's Project Support Committee for Visual Arts, The Bikubenfonden and the New Carlsbergfonden. It is implemented by Copenhagen Business School (CBS), Department of Management, Politics and Philosophy, in collaboration with Denmark's statistics.
