Obermann o Onegin?

The essay is part of the gender studies in a queer key, and assesses how much of the homosexuality of Tchaikovsky becomes part of the creative impulse that leads to his masterpiece Evgenij Onegin, from Pushkin. It demonstrates to what extent the biographical subject can influence the musical dramaturgical structure of a lyrical opera, and brings out subliminal messages in the open, thanks above all to the clear intertextual allusion to the Vallé d'Obermann by Franz Liszt and to the poem Childe Harold by Lord Byron .

Il saggio rientra nel novero degli studi di genere in chiave queer, e valuta quanto dell'omosessualità di Cajkovskij entra a fare parte dell'impulso creativo che porta al suo capolavoro Evgenij Onegin, da Puskin. Vi si dimostra in che misura il soggetto biografico possa influenzare la struttura drammaturgico musicale di un'opera lirica, e fa uscire allo scoperto messaggi subliminali grazie soprattutto alla chiara allusione intertestuale alla Vallé d'Obermann di Franz Liszt e al poema Childe Harold di Lord Byron.
