Il ricettivo non tradizionale, il caso del Veneto

Studies on the dynamics and impacts caused by the introduction of the Airbnb model in the tourism market are often concentrated at an urban level, with scientific or national and local press insights on the major tourist destinations. The spread of the phenomenon on a regional area or on large territories linked to a tourism theme has not yet been treated in depth. This work aims to investigate the developments of the non-traditional accommodation system in the territory of the Veneto Region, a leading Italian tourist destination in terms of the number of arrivals and presences. Through its regulations, the Veneto region has divided its territory into thematic tourism systems. This contribution aims to delve deeper into the impact of the non-traditional accommodation phenomenon represented by the Airbnb platform on the Veneto territory, analyzing and comparing the territories and tourist systems of the region (with a focus on the seaside, mountain, spa and lake systems Garda), dealing only indirectly with the impact on cities of art.
