WAITING for acustic, electronic & computerised keyboard instruments

Dedicated to Art. ASPETTANDO/WAITING for acoustic, electronic & computerised keyboard instruments 2017 by Matteo Segafreddo. PRESENTATION. The present composition gives musical expression to two distinct dimensions represented by Christ [B] and by the Bulgarian-American artist Christo Vladimirov Javach¬eff [A], through a specific transcription of the textual/poetic images. These two dimensions are contextually summarised by a ‘polarising’ musical articulation, which also refers back to the title Aspettando/Waiting. They correspond aesthetically to a sonic-gestural spatialisation and abstraction of the timbral fluctuations of each single poetic-artistic-musical event. The piece deploys a ‘random/structured’ sound graphic and articulates the various linguistic elements within the stylistic unity of the overall compositional approach. The piece can be performed on any acoustic, electronic and computerised keyboard instrument. Venice, April 2017
