This work aims to contribute to addressing the following question: how could lead firms foster the sustainability of their domestic industrial commons through engagement with glocal value chains? The article provides empirical evidence to identify possible actions that a lead firm can undertake to sustain its home-base industrial commons, by jointly leveraging foreign economic actors’ networks and localised external economies. We focus on lead firms, as they are crucial players within an economic system, able to affect the system of local socio-economic resources.
