An analysis of Brazilian concrete poetry impact on Catalan writer Joan Brossa.T he Brazilian poet Augusto de Campos, Haroldo de Campos and Décio Pignatari founded in 1952 in Sao Paulo Noigandres group. In the magazine of the same name, Noigandres, they published manifestos and experiments of visual poetry inspired by the avant-garde. In Catalonia they had an impact, thanks to the presence of poet João Cabral de Melo Neto, who was secretary of the Brazilian Consulate in Barcelona, and the translations of Angel Crespo, on poets such as Joan Brossa. In this article I analyze the presence and modalities of appropriation of Brazilian concrete poetry by Catalan authors.
