Abstract
Critical assessment of the state of the art on the foundation of the Assyrian ville neuve "Kar Tukulti Ninurta". Specifically, it is argued that the building of the city began before the conquest of Babylon and was carried out in cooperation with the administration in the nearby capital city of Assur, and not, as sometimes mantained, in competition to it. Kar Tukulti Ninurta does not seem to fit the criteria of a "disembedded city".File in questo prodotto:
