This contribution introduces the volume “Studies in Spanish Syntax”, edited by Laura Brugè. According to the recent formal developments of generative grammar, this preface comments and describes the content of the essays published in the volume, which focus on different topics of Spanish syntax. The papers in the compilation are: “Spanish non Agreeing Quantificational Nominals” by Anna Bartra and Xavier Villalba; “Coordinated Adjectives and the Interpretation of Number Features” by Ignacio Bosque; “A Stativistic Theory of Lexical Aspect and its Impact on Grammatical Aspect” by Luis García Fernández; “Emphatic Polarity and C in Spanish” by María Lluïsa Hernanz; and “A Comparative Analysis between the English and Spanish Aspectual Systems” by María Martínez-Atienza.
