This article describes some of the key concepts of Kenneth White's Géopoétique, using some of the postcolonial theories written on the problem of the margin/border. It is a study on what space and esprit means for White, and on his strategies to elaborate a poetry/poetics which could overcome borders and clashes among people and entities. Nature is also part of the discourse of the Other, like any other human entity (human beings, races, tribes, etc.). The word in White's poetics is used to wor(l)d our sense of being in a space and in a society.
