The critical edition presents around 230 typescripts and manuscripts documenting Adorno's preliminary final work on Chapter III of his "Aesthetic Theory", which has remained a fragment. The sheets contain, among other things, the text material for the chapter "Zur Theorie des Kunstwerks" in the reading edition. The edition makes them accessible to a wider audience for the first time in the form of facsimiles and precise diplomatic transcriptions.
