The economic crisis increased social inequalities, affecting, in particular, some social subjects, such as young people: their unemployment rate increased and the social investment for them have been further cut. If this structural framework has been deepened in the sociological literature, the insights on the perceptions of young people on inequalities are much more rare. This article analyses the narratives on social inequalities of young people with different backgrounds, but residing in the same municipalities (Mestre and Marghera) of the City of Venice. The authors show how their narratives on inequalities are shaped on the basis of the intersection between social class, “ethnicity” and national background, gender, age and spatial location in the neighbourhoods.
