This paper analyzes the Prologue of the Six Dialogues on the Procession of the Holy Spirit by Niketas of Thessalonike (olim, "of Maroneia"), who lived in the first half of the 12th century. The Prologue is extremely interesting as it reveals the function of the work and a special instrumentalization of aspects from the progymnasmatic tradition.

Abstract

This paper analyzes the Prologue of the Six Dialogues on the Procession of the Holy Spirit by Niketas of Thessalonike (olim, "of Maroneia"), who lived in the first half of the 12th century.
