Il saggio analizza il ruolo rivestito da G. Boccaccio nella creazione di una particolare tipologia di ninfa, rintracciabile negli autori volgari toscani del Quattrocento

The essay focuses on the figure of the nymph in Tuscan vernacular literature, from the Boccaccio of the Comedia delle ninfe fiorentine to Lorenzo de' Medici and his circle, and in particular to the Poliziano of the Stanze. The study is an attempt at reconstructing the stages of the gradual emergence of a particular nymph typology that can be considered "Tuscan". While it is not perfectly identical to classical models in that it is devoid of divine connotations, instead, it is humanised and strongly characterised in an etiological and civil direction.
