Barnum, F. Douglass, H. James, H. Melville, M. Twain and others) to the twentieth century and beyond (D. DeLillo, T.S. Eliot, R. Frost, F. O’Connor, D.F. Wallace and others). The title of this collection pays homage to the inspiring work on ‘phantasmagoria’ carried out by Alide Cagidemetrio, former professor of American Studies at Ca’ Foscari University of Venice, in whose honor this book is published.
