Lo sviluppo industriale di Marostica nel Novecento: dalla paglia all'abbigliamento, ma non solo

This chapter provides an analysis of the industrial development in the area of Marostica during the 20th century, explaining the mechanisms of the transition from a rural industry specialisation in the production of straw hats from wheat cultivation residuals to the emergence of multiple parallel activities (from garment to electric devices) exploiting the skills and competences developed by the rural labour force during the previous phase.
