Platinum(II) complexes of the type (P-P)Pt(CF3)X (P-P = diphosphine; X = solvent, -OH) have been found to be active catalysts for the selective Baeyer-Villiger oxidation of ketones using commercial 32% H2O2 solution as terminal oxidant. Reactions are generally performed in neat ketone and under appropriate experimental conditions a variety of cyclic ketones can be converted to the corresponding lactones. Linear ketones are not oxidized. © 1991, Elsevier Science & Technology. All rights reserved.

Abstract
Platinum(II) complexes of the type (P-P)Pt(CF3)X (P-P = diphosphine; X = solvent, -OH) have been found to be active catalysts for the selective Baeyer-Villiger oxidation of ketones using commercial 32% H2O2 solution as terminal oxidant. Reactions are generally performed in neat ketone and under appropriate experimental conditions a variety of cyclic ketones can be converted to the corresponding lactones. Linear ketones are not oxidized. © 1991, Elsevier Science & Technology. All rights reserved.File in questo prodotto:
